Personal info.  Cindy has a passion for communication, through words (writing children's books) and through dance. Everyone has a story to tell, and Cindy encourages her students to find their own through music and movement.   

Dancing Experience and styles. Cindy learnt to dance old-school Salsa (left-foot-first) in Curaçao, and hurried home to take On1 classes (right-foot-first) at SalsAventura. She took Morry's MasterClass several times, and learnt Ladystyling from Brown Sugar, Vivienne and Christine Vis (Dos Bailadores). After competing in the Amateur League of the Dutch Open Salsa Championships 2008 (where she and her partner took 3rd place), she assisted SalsaKing during classes and workshops ranging from Beginner level to Advanced. She performed on several occasions, among others at Van der Meulen-Wesseling.

Teaching style. For Cindy, enjoyment of the music and the dance come first and foremost. With her structured and laid-back teaching-style, she aims to bring out the best in all of her students.
