Personal Info. Isabelle was born in 1984 in Naarden, the Netherlands. Already when she was 4 years old, she already started dancing ballet: since then she never stopped dancing anymore.

Dancing experience and styles. In 1999 her mother brought her to a salsa show from Rina Bernabela, from this moment Isabelle got cought by the beauty of dancing salsa and she started taking lessons in Hilversum by Esencia. By Esencia she learned the basic steps and movements of the salsa ( LA style ), but also a little bit of the Mambo on 2, show figures and the Rueda.
Later, in 2002, she went on holiday to Cuba and this was THE salsa experience for Isabelle. The Cuban traditions, the rittms, the music and dancing is totally integrated in their normal life. The Cubans are dancing with all their body and spirit. You can see that there expressions are coming from inside, from their soul and that makes it so beautiful to watch at.
Since 2002 Isabelle went 4 times to Cuba, she had lessons by El Ballet Folkloric Cutumba where she learned the Son, Rumba, and many Afro Cuban dances. Now she tried to mix this several dancing styles up in 1, but she always keeps the authenticity of the several dancers very strict.
